JOB SUMMARY:

United Solutions Company maintains and manages a 24x7 NOC located in Tallahassee, FL.

 

The Network Services Department monitors client systems for atypical operating events and provides appropriate resolution to issues as they arise. The ability to multi-task, prioritize and analyze best path to resolution, in a fast-paced environment is essential.

The System Administrator is responsible for administering and maintaining applications and services associated with Data Center Services, Network Security, Physical Infrastructure, Virtualization with VMWare, Microsoft Systems, including, but not limited to Windows Workstation, Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, SQL, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, System Center, and Office 365.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for insuring systems are operational when needed, performing necessary maintenance, and securing the systems.
  • Collects and analyzes usage and performance data; diagnoses problems and takes appropriate action anytime, day or night.
  • Participates in After Hours Support rotation
  • Provide 2nd level Help Desk support issues, as necessary.

 

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent customer service skills with acceptable response times to phone calls, emails and customer requests.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate technical concepts in a clear, concise manner to a wide level of personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to mentor junior staff and foster collaboration among co-workers.
  • Ability to work with the latest Window Server versions.
  • Able to quickly and accurately determine incident scope and impact.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment and in stressful situations while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize projects and tasks.
  • Strong response time to phone calls, emails and customer requests.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A four (4) year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a technical or trade school. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of similar or related professional experience. Combination of education and similar experience may be substituted.
  • Preference given to candidates with Associate or Expert Microsoft certifications
  • Must be bondable
